The International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) website serves as the global hub for financial professionals engaging with ISDA’s derivatives market standards, publications, and event offerings. Originally rebooted from a legacy platform, the site was rebuilt on a Classic WordPress theme with Bootstrap and a React-powered search experience. The site includes complex purchase workflows for protocols, event registrations, and resource access—integrated with ISDA’s iMIS CRM through both SOAP and REST API endpoints.

Over a 7.5-year tenure, I served as the Front-End Lead and later Senior Web Developer, responsible for architecting, maintaining, and refining the site’s front-end and back-end functionality. I led the web development team, set coding standards, managed deployments, and collaborated directly with ISDA’s internal teams to enhance functionality, accessibility, and performance over time.

Impact

The refactored ISDA site became faster, more stable, and more aligned with stakeholder needs—transforming a once-problematic launch into a robust, secure, and accessible platform. My leadership and ongoing optimization work not only reduced technical debt but also improved internal workflows and user experience for both ISDA staff and members worldwide.
