About

I’m a senior full-stack developer who’s always learning — and always eager to share knowledge. Over the years, I’ve written on my RachieVee blog about WordPress, accessibility, and web development, and I’ve contributed to WordPress Core under the same name.

While I’m no longer active on the support forums or Stack Exchange, I used to spend a lot of time in the Accessibility Slack channel helping with handbook documentation. As someone who is hard of hearing, accessibility is personal to me — it’s a topic I care deeply about and continue to advocate for in every project I work on.

When I’m not writing code, tech documentation, fiction, or poetry, I’m usually spending time with family, crocheting, gaming, or exploring one of my many hobbies.

About the RachieVee Blog

Yes, I rebranded — new domain, new site — but the blog’s purpose remains the same. I started RachieVee in 2014 out of frustration: either I was learning things with no guidance, or the available documentation was full of jargon I couldn’t yet understand.

Tired of sifting through “developer lingo”, I began writing to help others like me who were just trying to solve a problem, but couldn’t find straightforward step-by-step solutions. My goal is to share what I learn in plain language and to lower the barrier to entry for anyone who just wants to write code that they can actually understand.
